FULL APPEARANCE: N’mi is a handsome man, with messy blonde hair and light blue eyes. While a bit on the leaner side, he’s quite clearly healthy, with clear skin and a sparkle in his eye. He rarely seems to be anything less than happy, smiling more often than not. While he’s losing some of it with age, his face has an almost boyish roundness to it, though his jawline will never be the sharpest. He doesn’t seem to be very good at growing facial hair, with any stubble he has coming in fuzzy and patchy at absolute best.
His clothing is his rider’s leathers, most often, though when in casual dress he prefers to wear a lot of blue and black. This is largely for practicality’s sake, though the fact that he looks good in the colors (at least, in his opinion) certainly doesn’t hurt.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY: N’mi is a friendly man, one who usually gets along pretty well with people. He’s patient, kind, and understanding, and that goes a long way in the friendships he’s maintained, if not respect at the very least. He is, however, a bit of a dumbass. He’d do anything to make his weyrmate smile, and this usually results in him making a right fool of himself, even after years of being with her. He’s not necessarily clumsy, but he has gotten himself chased by at least one swarm of bugs trying to bring his beloved flowers.
N’mi, while his problem solving skills are decent when Kushina isn’t around to distract him, has his head utterly in the clouds most times. More than a few people have called him an airhead, and just about everyone he’s close to mocks him relentlessly for it. He just can’t help but to daydream! There’s so many things out there that he enjoys and ends up thinking about!
He usually takes his duties pretty seriously, but more often than not ends up needing his Yuiryth to keep him on track. Easily distracted at the best of times, threadfall in particular just involves so many factors and things to pay attention to that he’s either unable to focus, or is too focused to pay attention to anybody else around him. Non threadfall duties are a little easier and less overwhelming for him to keep up with, and he’s better about not needing Yuiryth to remind him to concentrate.

HISTORY: Namikaze was born to a pretty normal pair of holders in a relatively minor hold. Being only a step or two above being a cothold, the small hold was one where just about everybody knew each other. There weren’t many official craftspeople in the hold, though there were plenty of farmers, Namikaze’s parents among them. Namikaze grew up learning how to farm, though things would change when a searchrider came to their hold when he was newly 15. Namikaze was searched, something he hadn’t even considered. While he was rather timid at that age, something about riders just seemed so cool, and he decided to go to Fort Weyr.
It was in candidacy where he’d meet the girl he’d eventually end up being weyrmates with. Kushina was her name, and her long, red hair was utterly fascinating to him. He grew a crush on the brash girl quite instantly, though at that point she thought him nothing more than a crybaby. Kushina’s attitude hadn’t endeared her to everyone, though she still had a few friends (and a shy boy with a massive crush on her.) However, before Namikaze had dared muster up the courage to tell her that, his Yuiryth came to him, and he became N’mi. An older rider named Jiraiya mentored him through his weyrlinghood, and they grew to be quite close.
Impressing so soon after he came to the Weyr was a shock, though the fact that he got along with Yuiryth helped him immensely. They learned together, and gradually, his confidence grew. He made actual attempts to get Kushina to notice him, once he’d safely graduated, though it still took another 3 turns of dedicated attempts before she agreed to see where things went. By that point, he was 20. He and Yuiryth had joined the Aurora wing upon their graduation, and had learned each other quite well. He gave Yuiryth his support, and she kept him grounded when he needed it.
He and Kushina didn’t take things slow once they’d finally ended up together. After 5 whole turns of pining, N’mi managed to be a gentleman. Kushina was not nearly so polite. She wanted what she wanted, and he couldn’t deny her anything. She had him wrapped around her finger, and they both knew it. It was a whirlwind of a romance, with many of N’mi’s friends complaining about how utterly disgustingly in love the man was. Becoming weyrmates didn’t take long at all, once they’d gotten together.
While not for a lack of trying, N’mi and Kushina never ended up having children, though they both agreed they wanted at least one. Now at 27, they’ve more or less settled into a routine, and N’mi is as lovestruck as ever.
