FULL APPEARANCE: Camilla is the type of woman a certain type of man finds it very hard not to stare at. And she does nothing to discourage them. She favors tight, low-cut, often black clothing that draws attention to her very impressive bosom and lush hips. She wears her blonde hair long and loose, when not forced to tie it back for drills or Fall, and accentuates the delicate lines of her face with just a touch of makeup.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY: On dragonback, Camilla is a fighter. She's ruthless and fierce and bloodthirsty in a way that suggests she likes the violence just a bit too much. She likes to fight and to win, using her strength and intelligence in equal measure. She's not the sort to make elaborate plans and strategies, but her instincts are excellent.
Camilla was little more than a tool for her mother and she attempts to overcompensate by slathering maternal love over all her younger siblings, especially Corrin. She often takes this more than a little too far, to the point it's creepy or demeaning rather than loving. She doesn't have much of a sense of healthy boundaries and will cling to her family as much as they're willing to let her. While she doesn't usually try to mother Xander, as he is her older brother, she understands him well and wants what's best for him. She's seen him in his moments of weakness and tries to lighten the burden on his shoulder where she can and remind him he doesn't have to solve all the world's problems alone.
In front of strangers, however, Camilla falls back on the proper manners she was taught by her parents. She is polite and gracious and can seem a rider thoroughly at home in her own skin. She is also a decent observer of human nature, well attuned to the undercurrents beneath most conversations.

HISTORY: Camilla's father was a ruthless perfectionist and her mother treated her coolly from the time she was old enough to walk. She wasn't a beloved child. She was a political pawn, to be molded into the perfect lady and then married off for power and advantage. Her familial affection was always reserved for her siblings and she lavished them with plenty. Her favorite was always Corrin, for all he did not share their blood.
Camilla's mother died while she was still young and her youngest sister Engenix was carted off Faranth knows where. Their hold's situation continued to worsen as the war crept nearer and nearer to their borders. Their father grew even colder, the small moments of affection he might once have offered his eldest daughter gone. And her older brother, Xander, also began to change. He didn't seem happy any more. She tried to comfort him, to draw him out, but could only watch as he sank deeper and deeper into his responsibilities, all the joy in his life slowly fading away with every unexplained bruise that appeared on his skin.
Camilla was Searched when she was 16. She was torn, reluctant to leave her siblings to the mercy of an unforgiving world, but Xander urged her to go, reminding her that she would soon have to marry if she stayed and could not watch over them forever. So she went away, to High Reaches Weyr, a gifted firelizard egg in her pocket to help keep in touch.
Camilla had it a bit better than the other candidates, as the daughter of a Lord Holder. She wasn't respected persay, but she was spared was the worst of the mad gold's cruelty, even when she Impressed a blue. She didn't try to get above herself, stayed in her place and worked towards being the best wingrider she could manage. Between her own good behavior and her family connections, she survived well enough that she was never tempted to flee to a different weyr.
She learned from Xander's letters that the situation at home continued to worsen and tried to have searchriders sent for her siblings. But she was only a bluerider, with little political cachet, and their hold was too small to merit regular Searches.
When Golre attacked Fort, Camilla was on the front lines. She fought fiercely and bravely, bringing down her fair share of enemy riders. But it wasn't enough. High Reaches lost. And the Fortians took over.
Camilla stopped trying to bring her siblings in. It was chaotic and dangerous, not good enough for them. But then she learned that some other holder family was sniffing after their Corrin. And enough was enough. She requested a Searchrider again. And this time got a yes.
UPDATES
- Early Spring, 2766- Camilla is elected Jr. Flightleader, with her brother Xander as Sr. Weyrleader.
- Early Spring, 2767- Camilla's term on the council ends. In Threadfall, Camilla and Kamuith are hit by K'lir and Bursirth. Camilla's left wrist is badly broken (Major), but the pair suffers no other major ill effects, luckily.
- Early Fall, 2767- Camilla and Kamuith are in the wrong place for a large clump of Thread, which badly scores Camilla's back and Kamuith across his wings. They crash, breaking Kamuith's forelegs and breastbone, which will never heal to a sufficient degree to allow flight (Permanent). Kamilla's left leg is broken in the crash in addition to the scores (Major).
- Late Fall, 2767- Xander nominates Camilla for Weyrlingmaster possibly to distract her from spending quite so much time "helping" Corrin. She accepts and is utterly delighted to have a whole CLASS of weyrlings to dote on.
