FULL APPEARANCE: Anoni is a small, fair skinned girl with brown hair and blue eyes. She's pretty in a relatable sort of way- not a great beauty, but attractive, with her bright eyes, tan skin and wide smile. She dresses most of the time like a rider in leathers and practical boots but isn't opposed to going all out in something more elaborate when the occasion calls for it. Her posture is...not the best. Despite her parents' best efforts, she's always been somewhat prone to slouching and fidgeting.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY: Anoni is not an exceptional girl. She's not the smartest or the kindest or the most poised. She is simply Anoni. She tries, but maybe not as hard as she should and is firmly in the middle of most things she attempts. She doesn't have any hidden talents or remarkable eccentricities. She's the sort of girl who tends to simply...blend in.
But she's not stupid or incompetent. Anoni notices things and is good enough at talking to people to catch what she might miss. Not being remarkable in her own right, she's used to making her own way and self-reliant, aware that actions, not luck, will get her what she wants. She has a decided sneaky streak and likes the feeling of knowing things other people don't.
Anoni doesn't have a great many ambitions in life. She just wants somewhere she can live and do her job and be with her dragon. Not everyone needs to be a wingleader or masterharper. Some people seem are.

HISTORY: Anoni was born to a happy life, the second child and first daughter of a pair of crafters. They expected things of her, as all parents did, but nothing excessive or unreasonable. And if she didn't always quite meet those expectations? Well she didn't fall so short as to be a problem either. She was simply "good enough", an unobjectionably mediocre girl.
She never did apprentice- for all her parents encouraged it. She didn't know...it just sounded like a lot of work and kind of dull. She was okay getting married someday and settling down in some small cothold somewhere to grow a garden and raise a couple of kids...or whatever it was cotholders did. When she was Searched at 15, she decided she might as well go. It could be an adventure and it would make her parents happy.
She remained a fairly average candidate, the sort who was easily seen and forgotten. Which was why she caught Tjenna's eye. The woman had been a Candidatemaster once and was now one of the Istans sent to Fort. She started speaking to the girl and filling her head with stories. About how she could do something good, help bring peace to Pern, if she would just help her out.
Anoni agreed. Because she didn't ALWAYS want to be the one who was simply there. So Tjenna told her of how Emma was thinking of sending spies to Semaca but that wasn't the only weyr that needed to be watched. Even Benden, one of their allies, might yet be scheming to betray them and take the Peacekeeper title for themselves. If Anoni would just transfer there and continue as a candidate and report what she saw...
Anoni went. And from the start it was...strange. There was a clutch on the sands but no one had seen Nuuth fly and her Junior Weyrleader hadn't changed. Which happened sometimes but...it just felt off. And Nuuth didn't seem quite as...maternal as the other queens Anoni had seen.
And then Anoni Impressed. Everything else was forgotten. She had a dragon now, a precious blue of her own. Her reports dwindled. Until she started to realize exactly what she'd signed up for. There would never be a real place for her at Benden- not unless she was willing to serve her bronze and goldriding masters. So she started writing Ista again. And Tjenna promised her that if she simply kept reporting...they would arrange for her to transfer there.
When Wyzeth escaped, it didn't take long for Anoni and the rest of her class to figure out that she had been the clutch's true dam. After all, there'd been something amiss from the start.
The transfer to Ista never came, no matter how many reports Anoni wrote. And then she heard that Nebulaeth, who might be Cermurith's sister, had clutched and decided she would simply go to Semaca instead. All her work up until then was for nothing but...at least she would be free.
