Alubrath was bored. Duties just weren't interesting enough, even Threadfall couldn't keep her that engaged, it seemed. It took a little pleading, and a little planning, but she managed to convince Alara they needed a day at the beach. There was sure to be something fun there.
Normally, Alara would have sunbathed some, but it was winter and just a little too frosty-feeling for that. As it was, she found a nice big rock to settle on while her pink companion snuffled around the shore like a bubblegum bloodhound.
See, eggs! There are things to find here! The garnet had happened upon an old firelizard nest, long since hatched and abandoned, with the remnants of shells scattered around the sandy hollow. The dragon paused, sniffing the site as if she had zeroed in on something, and then began to dig with sweeping scoops of her giant pink paws.
Sprays of sand flew behind her as she burrowed, clearly intent on finding something beneath the old rookery.
"Don't get any of that over here, I'd rather not be picking sand from every crevice for the next three days." Alara warned, not without humor but not keen on living the experience, either.
